The oil-free scroll pump generates a vacuum by continuously moving pockets of captured gas that enters inlet to exhaust port via two-sided spiral mechanism.
Welch SCSpro 15 has a built-in self-cleaning air flush that removes liquefied vapors that can condense in pump from a trapped application. The air flush function doesn’t impact vacuum performance of pump.
The scroll pump is an alternate solution to oil-sealed rotary vane pumps. Common applications include freeze dryer with ultra-low temperature condenser, glove box, cold trapped vacuum oven or degassing chamber, turbo backing, and evacuation of cryogenic lines.
The SCSpro 15 is made to last with durable and reliable materials, in which:
- Scroll and body are made of anodized aluminum.
- Tip seal is made from PTFE composite.
- Exhaust valve is made with FKM.
- Inlet and exhaust ports are made from cast stainless steel
